On campus
Living Lab People's Assembly
3.30 PM to 5.30 PM
Thu 27 November, 2025
Interested in environmental and social justice? Would you like to meet like-minded people to develop ideas and take action for positive change?
Join the People’s Assembly – a democratic decision-making event facilitated by the award-winning Living Lab.
In this event, we will focus on ‘activism’. You will hear from activists working in global climate change initiatives and local change-makers from YSJ.
We'll consider how our campus could better support different kinds of activism by students.
Everyone is welcome. With free food and friendly faces, it is a space to explore what is possible for a fairer future, together.
A 'go your own way' space will be available for those who need a break or quiet space during the event.
Order of event:
- Lightning talks from inspiring speakers
- 'Make it happen' discussion time in groups (facilitated by Living Lab)
- Free food!
- Collective decision-making (vote taking) on what actions to take forward / what support is needed (by voting / sharing between peers)
