Lowri Clarke

Hello! I’m Lowri and I’m one of the Education Outreach Coordinators here at York St John. I moved to York to study my undergraduate degree in English Literature, and I have felt at home in York ever since. I’m very grateful that I still get to live and work in this wonderful city! During my time at university, I worked with the Access and Outreach department across various outreach projects, and this introduced me to widening participation work in the higher education sector.

In my current role, I coordinate ethnic and cultural outreach projects which support young people from underrepresented backgrounds to access Higher Education.

As part of the SRWP team, I also assist with events like careers fairs and open days.

I have always enjoyed learning and I recently completed my Master’s in Medieval Literatures and Languages here in York. Completing my Master’s in a city with such vibrant medieval history was definitely a highlight for me.

Outside of work, I like to spend my time being creative through painting or knitting. I’m also a regular at York's cat cafe!
