Verity Pratt
PhD Researcher
I completed a Masters in Research (MSc) at the School of Science, Technology and Health at York St John University, focusing on Perfectionism and Orthorexia in Exercisers (Sports Psychology). I went straight on to undertaking a PhD, also at York St John University, under the School of Science, Technology and Health at York St John University, again focusing on Perfectionism and Orthorexia (Sports Psychology). I am an active member of the Motivation, Performance, and Wellbeing (MPaW) research group.

Teaching
I assist in the delivery of Sports Psychology modules and I am working towards becoming a Fellow of Higher Education Academy (teaching and learning in higher education).
Research
My research focuses on the predictors, maintaining factors, and consequences of orthorexia in health and sports domains. I focus specifically on perfectionism and its effect on orthorexia.
Professional activities
I present annually at national and international conferences, and I am a member of professional bodies, such as The British Society for the Psychology of Individual Differences (BSPID).
