Current themes within our interdisciplinary research.

We take an interdisciplinary approach to our research in health and social care, drawing on expertise from across the University and working in close collaboration with partners and participants in the community.

Our research is encapsulated within 3 research themes:

  1. Promoting and preserving health and wellbeing
  2. Advancing policy and practice in health and social care
  3. Reducing inequalities in health and care

Current projects include research into working women and the menopause, and supporting physical activity in people with severe mental illness.

Current projects include research into the experiences of First Contact Practitioners in primary care, and implementing a supervised exercise programme for people with intermittent claudication.
