These contributions help to widen participation in higher education and support students facing significant barriers. These partnerships have a profound and lasting impact on our community, transforming individual lives and broadening opportunities for all.

Trusts and Foundations

We are deeply grateful for the support we have received from a number of generous trusts and foundations in recent years. Their contributions have been instrumental in enabling us to sustain and grow our scholarship programme, opening up opportunities for students who might otherwise be unable to access higher education. We are committed to ensuring that 100% of all funding provided is directed towards student scholarships. Each year, you will receive an impact report outlining how your grant has supported our students.

In most cases, trusts and foundations choose to contribute to the scholarship fund as a whole. This centralised approach enables us to allocate funding where it is needed most, allowing us to respond flexibly to changing circumstances and areas of greatest need. Every grant makes a meaningful difference to our students.

York Common Good Trust

We are hugely grateful to The York Common Good Trust who have supported scholarships at York St John University over a four year period. Their support has helped to break down financial barriers to education and ensure that talent and potential, not circumstance, define a student’s future.
