Walking Rugby
Walking Rugby is a slower paced version of touch rugby. Anything faster than a walk is not allowed, the ball cannot be passed over head height and crucially there is no tackling involved! Instead, players are allowed to hold onto the ball for no more than three seconds before passing, keeping the pace moving and giving the other team an opportunity to intercept. It is particularly suited to those who cannot play contact Rugby anymore.
This is a less physical, slower paced version of touch rugby with adapted laws to suit participant needs. Sessions cater for all backgrounds and experience levels of Rugby. It is a fantastic way to increase your physical and social activity levels whilst making friends with like-minded people. Participants are welcome to socialise in the on-site cafe afterwards.
Please wear trainers and clothing suitable for physical activity. The sessions take place inside, so boots/studs are not required. You may also wish to bring a drink and anything else you may need for your comfort or safety, such as medication. Sessions take place at the York St John University Sports Park, Haxby Road, York, YO31 8TA. Free car parking is available on site.

Super 1's Cricket
Super 1's gives young people aged 12 to 25 years with disabilities the chance to regularly play cricket (and other sports).
By creating community cricket hubs for young people to receive coaching from the Yorkshire County Cricket Board, we give participants the chance to participate with their peers and enjoy the benefits of sport and an active lifestyle.
Super 1s provides young people with a chance to realise their potential, both on and off the pitch. It enables them to discover what they can do, not what they can't, and become role models for their peers.
This programme is funded by Lord's Taverners. Sessions take place at York St John University Sports Park.
