Counselling and mental health centre
We offer high quality and affordable counselling and mental health services to communities outside York St John University.

If you are a York St John University student please use the student wellbeing services.
Founded in 2016, we are based on the York St John University campus.
We are part of the Research and Training Clinic Consortium (RTCC).
Services offered by the centre
Counselling sessions are currently provided by telephone or online through Skype or Zoom. Sessions are available at the following times:
- Daytime: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
- Evening, 6:00pm to 9:00pm: Monday, Wednesday.
We can provide help with the following:
- General counselling for a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship problems, bereavement, loss
- Counselling for relational and domestic violence and abuse
- Emotional and relational regulation groups for adults
- Groups for children and young people
- Specialist bereavement service.
How to access our services
You need to complete an online self-referral form.
After submitting the form, your referral will be assessed and you will be contacted by a member of the clinic office team to identify next steps.
The number of sessions we provide varies, depending on your need. This will be discussed at the initial counselling session and regularly reviewed with your counsellor.
We do not accept York St John University students.
