I hold qualifications in Data Processing, Computer Science (University of Benin), an MBA (Ahmadu Bello University), and an SCQF Level 11 in Information Security Management (Robert Gordon University, Scotland). I am an interdisciplinary researcher and IT professional whose work examines how games, film, and digital cultural media shape identity, memory, and belonging in contemporary society. My background in IT service management and digital support informs my interest in the intersections of technology, culture, access, and inclusion in higher education and wider society.

My research draws on diaspora studies, decolonial thought, cultural representation, and structural inequality, with particular focus on Benin heritage, African cultural memory, and narrative restitution. I am especially interested in how interactive media and digital storytelling can reinforce dominant cultural assumptions, or open spaces for self-representation, heritage-making, and cultural recognition.

I also research ethnic profiling and barriers to healthcare access for Black immigrants in the UK, exploring how systems of exclusion shape lived experiences and social participation. My current work includes a policy analysis of Digital Parenting, Race, and Family Wellbeing, examining how digital technologies, migration, and social policy influence parenting practices among Black immigrant families in the UK.

Additionally, I am committed to embodied teaching, engaged learning, and inclusive pedagogical practices that foster student belonging. I serve as Co-Chair of the BAME Staff Network at York St John University and was honoured to receive the York St John University Inspirational Staff Member of the Year Award 2026.
