I am a public health professional with over a decade of experience in mixed-methods research, academia, and project management. I began my academic journey with a Bachelor's degree in Public Health from Purbanchal University, Nepal, in 2011. In 2016, I completed a Master's in International Public Health at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. Most recently, in 2025, I was awarded a PhD in Public Health from the University of Huddersfield, where my research explored the association between maternal mental health and childhood undernutrition. My work is driven by a strong commitment to advancing health equity and evidence-based practice, particularly in global and public health contexts.

I am a Lecturer in MSc Public Health (Deputy Programme Director) and MSc Global Healthcare Management at York St John University, where I started teaching in April 2024. Prior to this, I briefly taught in Nepal and gained extensive teaching-related experience while completing my PhD, including running seminars, delivering lectures, and grading.

I bring over 10 years of experience in health research, with a particular expertise in mixed-methods research. My research interests span maternal health, especially maternal mental health, digital mental health, and child health, including work with children and young people. In recent years, my focus has been on co-production and qualitative research methodologies. I also have significant experience in conducting systematic literature reviews. Additionally, I have led numerous research training sessions on topics such as coding and analysis in NVIVO, qualitative data collection methods, and research ethics.

Recent publications

I have delivered presentations at institutional, national, and international conferences, and actively contribute to the academic community as a peer reviewer for esteemed research journals. Additionally, I serve as a co-lead of the Global and Public Health Research Group.
