I have published a number of journal articles and conference papers on bus transport. These focus mainly on the impacts of deregulation and case studies of public transport in the North York Moors National Park.

More recently my research has focused on the economic and social impacts of long-distance walking and particularly National Trails. I have also carried out a number of other one-off research projects.
