Dr Florence Barugahara

Lecturer

I am a lecturer at York St John University London Campus UK. I have a PhD in Economics from the University of Leicester. My thesis was entitled "A Study on Economic Growth, Inflation and Income Inequality". I have published journal articles in peer-reviewed journals, which are internationally highly recognised journals. I also have a distinction in MSc. Financial Economics from the University of Leicester and a Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree from Makerere University. Therefore, I have vast knowledge of Finance, Economics and Accounting. In addition, I am a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Thus, I am a skilled tertiary educator delivering high-quality teaching and learning. I have about 10 years of teaching experience at different universities (University of Leicester, Bindura University of Science Education, UNICAF University, Kabale University and York St John University).

I am the module Director for Contemporary Business and Sustainability module and the deputy module director for Accounting and Finance for Decision Making module. I also teach across several modules, such as Leading Innovation and Cultural Change, Business Development and Value Creation, and Dynamic Perspectives on Sustainable Business.
