Jordana Golbourn
Research Assistant / Community Theatre Maker
I am a Community Theatre Maker. For over a decade my work has taken place in schools, theatres, community centres and women's prisons across the UK, New York, Thailand and Germany for companies such as Almeida Theatre, Donmar Warehouse, Young Vic and Theatre Royal Stratford East.
My work draws on the personal, community and political narratives of the artists I collaborate with, celebrating their individuality and imaginations with a process driven by play, curiosity and honesty.
I worked extensively with the York St John Prison Partnership Project on the Shakespeare Trilogy on Screen project, completing an MA by Research titled The use of metaphor in personal and community narratives: Women in the Criminal Justice System and the Shakespeare on Screen in Prison project.
