York St John University was founded in 1841, with the express purpose of giving people from a wider range of families and backgrounds the opportunity to transform their lives through education.
This spirit remains integral to our mission today and the Institute for Social Justice (ISJ) is a natural progression of those efforts.
Our approach to social justice is co-productive research with people, partners and communities, addressing both urgent and underlying issues, to produce impact and change.
The ISJ works across our University and wider community. Here we share a few of the core team who help us deliver change and impactful research.
