Student Ambassador talking to prospective students on campus tour

Working within the Student Recruitment and Widening Participation team, Student Ambassadors are the face of York St John University. We believe the best people to share their experiences of York St John are current students. An Ambassador's role is to showcase all that York St John has to offer to prospective students and visitors to the University.

Shifts are varied and there are frequent opportunities to work for other departments across the University, such as Marketing, Student Support and Admissions. Work you might complete includes:

  • Delivering campus tours
  • Supporting large-scale campus events such as Open Days
  • Supporting school visits on campus with learners from year 6 to post 16
  • Residential summer schools
  • Supporting outreach events for underrepresented groups such as mature learners and care experienced pupils
  • Mentoring
  • Administrative work
