In person on campusVisit our York campus to find out more about York St John University. On the day, join us for an 'Introduction to York St John' talk and take a campus tour with one of our Student Ambassadors. A couple of our accommodation sites will also be open to view.
Choosing where to live can be one of the most important decisions you'll make about your university life. We're here to make that process as easy as possible.
When to apply
Accommodation applications are open. The deadline for accommodation applications is Sunday 29 June.
You can apply for accommodation if you have your offer to study with us and your 9-digit student ID number. You do not need to have confirmed your university choice to apply.
If you apply after the deadline, we can no longer guarantee you a place in our accommodation. However, the allocation process will still continue while we have any remaining rooms and we will contact you as soon as possible after you apply for accommodation.
How to apply
Pick your accommodation site
As part of our application process, we will ask you to pick your favourite accommodation.
We have 10 sites and many different room types. Explore our room options to find something that suits you.
Apply for your chosen rooms
When you have explored our options, it's time to apply.
You will apply through our Accommodation Hub. Before you can complete the application, you will need to register for an account. You will need the following information ready before you start:
- Full name
- Date of birth
- 9-digit applicant ID number
Tell us about additional requirements
Our Accommodation team can help you with support and adjustments if you have a disability, health concern, or other specific need. We can make adjustments to many of our rooms, including things like accessible facilities, medication storage, or single sex or alcohol free accommodation.
When you apply for accommodation, you will be asked to let us know about any additional requirements. You can then fill out a form to provide us with more details.
