The Creative Doodle Book is a creative methodology that uses open, playful tasks. It supports support creative thinking in an inclusive and accessible manner.
The Creative Doodle Book was originally developed by Matthew Reason in collaboration with Mind the Gap to support inclusive socially distanced community arts practice during the Covid-19 pandemic.
For I'm Me we worked with learning disabled artists at Mind the Gap to develop Creative Doodle Books focuses on each of our themes of identity, representation and voice. These were then used by our partner organisation to structure workshops, creative explorations and art investigating these themes.

Identity
This book contains tasks, instructions, and ideas through which you can explore questions of identity. Identity might be little things about you personally, or big things about your place in the world.

Representation
The book explores representation. This includes both how we present ourselves to other people and how learning disability is represented in the world around us.

Voice
This book explores voice. Voice is what you want to say and how you say it. You can express your voices in different ways - not just by speaking.
