This research group is led by Dr Ghulam Mujtaba.
The Accounting, Finance, and Economics Research Group (AFER) is dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research in accounting, finance, and economics, with a strong focus on financial sustainability, economic resilience, corporate governance, and digital transformation.
Based at York St John University’s London Campus, AFER aims to address key challenges in global financial systems by integrating cutting-edge economic theories, accounting innovations, financial regulation, and emerging financial technologies.
AFER's research will focus on, but is not limited to:
