Information on graduation ceremonies for students at our London Campus.

Graduation is a time to celebrate your hard work and your achievements.
When you graduate from York St John London you get to celebrate this moment in the stunning historic setting of London Guildhall. Be surrounded by history and share the moment with friends, family and staff who have supported you along the way. This is your day.
Ceremony dates
The graduation ceremonies for the London Campus Class of 2026 are due to be held in March 2027.
Specific dates and times for each ceremony will be published here once confirmed. We anticipate this information to be available in December 2026.
All eligible graduates will be sent an official invitation to the ceremonies in early December 2026. We advise against booking travel or accommodation until you have received your official invitation.
Visa support letters
It may be necessary for international graduates to request an invitation letter to support a visa application. These letters will be sent to eligible graduates via email alongside invitations in early December.
Please note, we are unable to provide these before invitations are released and we cannot provide personalised visa letters for family or friends. For policy and regulatory purposes, we are not able to name guests, only the graduate we hold a student ceremony record for.

Our Graduation Guide will be published here early December 2026. This guide will include everything you need to know about your upcoming graduation ceremony, including how to make your booking, what to do on the day of your ceremony and provides answers to frequently asked questions.

Gowning and photography costs
Information on gowning and photography costs for our London graduation ceremonies.
You must wear a gown and hat for your ceremony. You can either hire a cap and gown or buy them. The online hire cost from Graduation Attire, includes gown, cap and hood is £42 for a Bachelor and Masters gown and £45 for a Doctoral gown. If you forget to pre-order your gown, the hire cost on the day will be higher than the prices above.
When you hire or purchase a gown, you will have the opportunity to have your photograph taken and buy official photographs. There are a range of packages available at different prices, starting from around £30.
Ordering official photographs is not a requirement. You are allowed to take your own photos on the day.
