I’m Anna and I am one of 2 Specialist Support Advisers at York St John. We offer specialised information, advice and guidance to our diverse student community. The groups I work with are care leavers, estranged students, student carers, trans students and asylum seeking students. If you have questions or concerns about any aspect of your YSJ life or studies, no matter how big or small, please get in touch. We can work with you to find solutions to help you succeed on your journey through York St John, and beyond.

I have worked at York St John for nearly 15 years, building our support for students with complex family backgrounds or personal circumstances. I studied Philosophy and Political Philosophy at Cardiff and York, and worked for a time in the voluntary sector before moving into higher education. I am a passionate advocate that all students should get a chance to flourish and thrive at university, and that your background should not determine your future. I feel lucky to work with some of the most remarkable and resilient students at York St John, and enjoy helping them nurture hopefulness and positivity about their futures.
