How Clearing works
Clearing lets you search for and apply to universities that still have places available.
Clearing opens on 5 July 2021.
It's a great opportunity to find the right university for you if your results are not what you expect or you decide to apply after the UCAS and UCAS Extra deadlines.
To apply through Clearing you cannot be holding any offers. This could be because:
- You are applying after the end of June
- You have not received any offers
- You declined all your offers
- You did not meet the conditions of your offers.
When Clearing opens and you have your results, you can apply to study with us using the steps below.
Applying to us through Clearing
Find the course for you
Search the courses that are available in Clearing 2021. We usually release our list of courses available in Clearing at the end of July.
Found 1 for you? Read about the course, what you will study and make a note of the course UCAS code.
Talk it through with us
Contact us to discuss the course and its entry requirements. Have your results and the course UCAS code to hand. You will also need your UCAS personal ID if you have one.
It's offer time
If we can accept you through Clearing we will make you a verbal offer when you get in touch. This will be followed up by an email offer.
During Clearing you might receive a few offers from different universities before choosing which 1 to accept.
Make it official
Add your course in UCAS Track as your Clearing choice. By doing this, you are confirming that you accept our offer.
Once you have done this, we will confirm your place through UCAS.
Get ready to start
Your offer is accepted, it's time to apply for your accommodation and think about student finance.
