Jason Whiting

Hello, I'm Jason! I work in the Student Recruitment team here at York St John. I did my degree at YSJ in Journalism and just never left!

I loved studying journalism, meeting the most fun and interesting people, and being able to tell their stories, running around York like a madman filming and conducting interviews.

As part of my role as a student recruitment assistant, I help in the running of all our Open and Decision Days. I also help coordinate the interview days for prospective students. A huge part of my role is attending careers and higher education fairs, travelling all over the country telling people about my own experience studying at York St John, whilst assisting them in finding out what the next step of their life is. I love having the opportunity to be able to talk to young people about their future and what is the best way for them to move forward with their careers.
