Jonny Day

Hello! My name is Jonny and I have grown up in York. After studying Psychology at the University of Liverpool, I returned to York to complete a PGCE in primary education. This led to me becoming a primary school teacher for three amazing years. With a passion for working with young people and a desire to provide them with knowledge and opportunities that are right for them, this led me to my role as an Education Outreach Coordinator.

As an Education Outreach Coordinator within the Student Recruitment Team, my role is to engage with education providers to organise outreach activities with prospective students to inform them of the higher education opportunities that York St John provides. My role can involve me travelling to a variety of different locations as we are always looking to attract prospective students from all over the United Kingdom. Having lived in and away from York, I believe that the city itself and York St John provides a fantastic and enriching opportunity to any potential student with its thriving and inclusive environment.

In my free time, I love taking part in a variety of different sports including football, tennis and golf. I am also a keen hiker with the aim of one day completing the national three peaks in under 24 hours.
