Kathryn Kendon

Kathryn joined York St John University in April 2022 as Academic Registrar, having previously undertaken the role of Academic Registrar and Director of Student and Academic Services at the University of Northampton. She holds an MA (Cantab) in History and an MBA in Higher Education Management (with Distinction) from the Institute of Education. Kathryn is currently acting as Deputy Chair of the Assessment Group of the Academic Registrars Council.

Kathryn leads on all aspects of the processes, implementation and smooth running of corporate and academic governance across the University and the Board of Governors and is responsible for the effective operation of the University's regulatory, assurance and compliance frameworks. As University Secretary, Kathryn reports independently and provides advice and support to the Chair of the Board of Governors and the Chairs of the Board of Governors' sub-committees. Kathryn also acts as the University's Data Protection Officer, Safeguarding Lead, Student Disciplinary Officer and PREVENT Lead.
