Richard Bracknellin

As part of the Research Office's postgraduate team, I am responsible for coordinating a range of training and development opportunities for postgraduate researchers. I oversee a portfolio of events and resources that brings together contributions from guest speakers, partner organisations, and our own academic community. At the heart of this is our postgraduate researcher Research Skills Programme, a series of workshops, talks and seminars facilitated by York St John staff that runs throughout the academic year.

I have been part of the York St John community since 2013 when I started my undergraduate degree in Music. Since then, I have completed a BA(Hons) and MA at York St John and been employed in a wide variety of professional service roles within the University. After 4 years in the Programme Administration and Support Service, I joined the Research Office team in October 2022 and am thoroughly enjoying learning from and supporting our PGR community.
