Our work leading the arts strategy at Foss Park mental health hospital in York.

In 2021, Converge were asked by Tees Esk and Wear Valleys (TEWV) NHS Foundation Trust to lead the arts strategy at Foss Park mental health hospital in York.
The remit was to provide rolling exhibitions in the main reception area that included both visual and performing arts. In addition to this Converge was asked to provide arts based workshops and performances on the wards.
A group of curators comprising of TEWV staff and volunteers, Converge staff, including people with lived experience of mental ill health, and York St John University arts lecturers meet regularly throughout the year to decide exhibition themes and content.
