  • Large format posters (up to A0 size)
  • Laminating (up to A1 size)

Using the Konica Minolta printer/photocopiers

Print Services manages a fleet of over 50 Konica Minolta MFDs (Multi-Function Devices) on the University's York and London Campuses, as well as operating a print room which is located on the main York campus.

Our print room houses our digital print production devices, which includes digital presses and large format printers, enabling us to output professional quality printed materials on a wide range of paper stock.

We also offer first line support for the University print management software, PaperCut.

Members of staff can log in to any Konica Minolta device on campus using your York St John username and password, or your staff ID card (once you've linked your ID card to your print account). You will find many of the Konica Minolta MFDs dotted around both campuses and they are all capable of print, scan and copy up to A3 size.

Please contact us for any of the following issues relating to the Konica Minolta devices:

  • If you need spare toner cartridges for your local Konica Minolta printer
  • If you need staples or waste toner units replacing
  • To report faults or issues
  • Advice or assistance with scanning, printing or photocopying

Placing orders with Print Services

Orders and requests can be emailed directly to: printservices@yorksj.ac.uk

Simply attach the file(s) you would like printing to your email and include instructions on how you’d like it printing (for example, number of copies required, whether you’d like it printing single or double-sided).

Note: we always recommend sending PDF files where possible.

Ordering stationery

Print Services stocks a wide range of stationery, paper, display screen equipment and various IT consumables including USB memory sticks, cables, ink cartridges and portable hard drives. If we don't have an item in stock, we can usually obtain it for next day delivery.

To order items from us, please create a stationery requisition in OneUni. If you need assistance creating a requisition, we have created a guide to help you:

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us - we are here to help!

Service-level agreement (SLA)

Print Services operates to a 3 working day SLA for all standard printing and photocopying, although most of the time we turn work around much faster.

To avoid disappointment it is essential that you always allow 3 working days for us to complete your work, especially in busy periods.

Whilst the vast majority of print requests fall into the standard 3 working day SLA, there are occasionally requests that require longer to complete. This is very rare and is usually when a print order is extremely large, or requires a significant amount of finishing (for example, comb binding). If your request falls outside of our 3 working day SLA, we will discuss this with you when you place your order.

Help and advice

If you have a question or query, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We are happy to offer advice, whether that be on using the Konica Minolta MFDs or the best way to set up your work ready for printing.

We do not offer a design service, but the Design team in Marketing offer a design service for York St John staff, which can be requested by filling out their form: Design request form
