Health, Safety and Wellbeing Policy
Under the Health and Safety at Work Act every employer with 5 or more employees must have an agreed, written Health and Safety Policy describing how they will manage health and safety in their business and how they will let their staff and others know about your commitment to health and safety.
The university is committed to both the Health and Safety of our community and also to the promotion and development of the Wellbeing of our staff and students. Our Health, Safety and Wellbeing Policy signed by the Vice Chancellor and the Chair of the Board of Governors demonstrates this clear commitment and copies of the Policy are on public display – in buildings, receptions, noticeboards and our website.
The Policy itself is underpinned and supported by detailed procedures in respect of Health Safety and Wellbeing and more information can be found on these pages as well as the Wellbeing parts of the University website.
