About Search Success
Search Success is here to support skills that you'll use both in your studies, and long after your time here with us at York St John University has come to an end.
Many of us have used Google and other search engines countless times. Sadly, the trustworthy, reliable and useful information we really need, both at University and throughout life, can't always be found this way alone.
This is where Search Success comes in. Make the most of the useful guidance curated here when studying by yourself, or where lead by a tutor; work through it all at your own pace, or just dip into the bits you need here and now. It's all designed to help you gain the know-how to reach the level of evaluation demanded by University-level study.
Can Search Success help with my studies?
Absolutely. The information on these pages will help you to develop effective search and study methods. What's more, there's strong evidence to suggest that better grades are achieved by students who put these methods into practice.
