Sexual Violence Liaison Officers

Learn about the role of Sexual Violence Liaison Officers (SVLOs) and how they can support you.

Our Sexual Violence Liaison Officers (SVLOs) are highly qualified specialist members of staff who offer support to students who have experienced any form of sexual violence or misconduct.

Our SVLOs can work with you 1 to 1 to talk you through the options that are available to you, and the support you may want to receive.

Support may be available from within the University or from external partner organisations. The SVLO will support you through whatever choices are right for you.

Support is available for students who have been impacted by sexual violence at any time in their lives. This can include experiences of sexual violence, harassment, abuse, misconduct, inappropriate behaviour, regardless of whether it has been officially reported.

The SVLO will explain the options that are available without judgement. The SVLO will not put any pressure on you to take any action that you do not wish to do.
