Working in collaboration with the Yorkshire Film Archive, Professor Anne-Marie Evans, Dr Elodie Duché, and Professor Brendan Paddison are proud to present the Women of York film, which commemorates and celebrates the way women have impacted our city. The event will include a screening, a short panel discussion, and will be followed by refreshments. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in discussions about women’s history and to share their own testimonies of women's lives in York.
The film trailer is available on YouTube here.
The film is part of a broader initiative, the Women of York project, which aims to raise awareness of the vital role women have played in the city's development and to improve access to women's history at York’s tourism and heritage sites. More information can be found on our website here.
