I am a Lecturer in Data Analytics at York Business School, York St John University. My research interests are in the domains of information systems, business intelligence, data science, and knowledge management for companies of different sizes.

I received a Ph.D. from University of Trento, and double Masters degree from University of Edinburgh and University of Trento (both with honors). I am a Visiting lecturer at IAE School of management, Université Côte d'Azur, Nice, France, and in my past I was a visiting researcher at Center for Entrepreneurship, Strategy and Innovation management, University of Twente; Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering, Delft University of Technology; KTH Royal Institute of Technology, and the Netherlands Organisation for applied scientific research (TNO), Groningen.

I have an academic track record in business informatics and business intelligence, with publications in international conferences and journals in the broad areas of information systems, business and innovation.

Teaching

I teach on Msc Marketing, Msc International Business and Master of Business Administration (MBA) courses. At present, I am Module Director at postgraduate level for the following modules:

  • Data Analytics and the Blockchain
  • Marketing and Data Analytics
  • Capstone project (from June, 2024)

My main research interests include: Information Systems, Business Informatics, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Digital Innovation, Business Processes, Business Process Management, Socio-technical Systems, Technology Management.

Student supervision

I served as a co-supervisor for Meriem Kherbouche's PhD at ELTE University, in collaboration with Bálint Molnár. Meriem's research focused on business process modeling and the transformation of business process models into programs. I have acted as an external examiner for Alessandro Bitetto's PhD dissertation at the University of Pavia. The dissertation focused on 'The Role of Explainable Artificial Intelligence in Risk Assessment: A Study on Economic and Epidemiological Impacts.'
