Louise Gash

I started at York St John University in 2004 and have seen how the University has grown, adapted to change and developed into the institution it is now, one that has always been here to support our students past and present.

I previously managed the events team and have now moved over to the world of Alumni and Fundraising. I predominantly manage the Alumni team, operationally and ensuring the Alumni strategy is on target, but most important to me is how my role helps develop and build relationships with our Alumni in order to generate opportunities for the Schools, our students and the wider Alumnus community.

Working with key University contacts both internally and externally, such as University partners, Honorary Graduates and York St John University influencers to build a network of long-lasting relationships between our Alumni and University as a whole, therefore providing opportunities to link with core events, activities and campaigns.

What is key in doing this is working with the Academic schools and University departments to ensure alumni activity is linked, building on core alumni contacts that have already been developed within the academic schools, as well as introducing new Alumni who are keen to engage with the University.
