Dynamic Landscapes Research Group
The Dynamic Landscapes Research Group is led by Arved Schwendel.
The Dynamic Landscapes Research Group focusses on enhancing the detection and interpretation of physical and chemical processes at the Earth’s surface.
Our interests incorporate a wide range of sensitive Earth surface systems spanning the tropics to the Arctic, including rivers, wetlands, forests, glaciers and ice sheets. Our cross-disciplinary research encompasses geomorphology, glaciology, biogeography and ecology to investigate the response and resilience of such landscapes to contemporary and future environmental change, and explore associated impacts on biodiversity, land use and resources.
