Brand guidelines

Our writing style

You can use this section to familiarise yourself with the style guide we follow in all of our writing at York St John University.

Some of these guidelines are universal grammar rules, while others are stylistic choices we have decided on in order to establish consistency across everything we write.

The same rules and conventions should be followed whether you are writing for the web, for print, or for any other public facing channel of communication.

If you have questions about any of the items in the style guide, or feel that we have missed something, please email us at marketing@yorksj.ac.uk.
