Binding, laminating and dissertation printing
We offer comb and heat binding, laminating for multiple paper sizes, and printing and binding for your dissertation.
Our binding, laminating and dissertation printing services are available to all students at our York campus.

Binding
We offer 2 types of binding:
- Comb binding
- Heat binding
Both types of binding are priced at £1.50 per document or dissertation.
If you would like us to print and bind your document or dissertation, please fill out our Microsoft Form, below.
If you have already printed your document or dissertation yourself (and would just like it to be bound) please fill out our Microsoft form and ensure that you select “YES” when the form asks if you are leaving a physical item at the Information Desk that is connected with the order. Once you have completed the form, please visit the Information Desk in Fountains and leave your item with the desk.
Laminating
We can laminate your work using high quality laminating pouches which are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
Prices per sheet are as follows:
- A4 sheet: 50p
- A3 sheet: 80p
- A2 sheet: £3.00
- A1 sheet: £5.00

Dissertation printing
Some departments require you to submit a printed version of your dissertation. We can print and bind your dissertation for you, according to your course's specification. Alternatively, if you prefer to print the document yourself we can bind it for you.
How to request printing or binding
If you would us to print and/or bind your dissertation, please fill out our Microsoft Form, below.
The form will enable you to select your requirements (such as the type of binding, and whether you would like it printed single or double-sided) and will allow you to upload your dissertation with the form.

Timescale
Print Services aims to turn around all dissertation work within 24 hours.
For example, a dissertation submitted to us at 10.00am on a Monday will be ready to collect no later than 10.00am on Tuesday.
Cost
Prices for dissertation printing and binding are as follows:
- A4 black and white printing: 4p per side
- A4 colour printing: 15p per side
- Binding: £1.50 per dissertation
