Dr Sara Librenjak
Lecturer in Japanese and Linguistics
Originally from Croatia, I have worked at YSJ from 2021. I lived, taught and worked in Japan and Korea before coming to the UK. My work is interdisciplinary: I have a PhD in Information and Communication Science, a Masters in Linguistics and a BA in Anthropology. I started studying Japanese in my teens, and Korean during my undergraduate years - and I'm still learning new things every day. Learning is a lifelong journey!

Teaching
Over years I have taught on a variety of modules: Japanese language for all years and levels, East Asian Linguistics and Culture, TESOL modules, Descriptive Grammar of English, Introduction to Language and Linguistics. I used to teach Korean too!
