You can donate to York St John University online via JustGiving. 100% of the donations made through this link will go directly to funding student scholarships.

Set up a standing order

If you would like to make a recurring payment, you can set up a standing order online or using our form. You control when and how much you give and can cancel at any time.

Please remember to send your completed form to your bank and not back to us.

We accept cheques made payable to 'York St John University.'

Please send cheques to the Alumni and Fundraising Office, York St John University, Lord Mayor's Walk, York, YO31 7EX.

Please include a note with your name, address and contact details, and state the cause you'd like your donation to support (for example, alumni-funded scholarships).

Donate through your salary

As a member of York St John University staff, you can donate to our alumni-funded scholarships from your pre-tax salary.

Please let us know if you have donated this way so we can keep you updated with how your donation has helped our students.

Text to donate

The newest way to donate to our alumni-funded scholarships is by text.

Simply text YSJ followed by your donation amount to 70085. Texts cost the donation amount plus 1 standard network rate message.

For example, text 'YSJ10' to give £10 or 'YSJ20' to give £20.

Your YSJ scholarship

Support our students of the future by creating your own group YSJ scholarship, paving the way for students following in your footsteps.

We understand that, in this current climate, individuals may not be able to contribute to a full scholarship by themselves. This is why you will be able to create your YSJ scholarship with a group of like-minded individuals to support students of your choice. You choose the criteria and work closely with the Alumni and Fundraising team to make sure all your wishes are met.

The only thing we stipulate is that there needs to be a minimum donation of £1,000 a year for 3 years as this will support a first-year undergraduate student throughout their University course. However, if you would like to support a student for a different type of degree, we can work on creating this with you.

• Remember your graduation day in the stunning York Minster? Create a Years of scholarship to support students who are studying the same degree you did.
• Have fond memories of your time in the swimming club, rugby club or musical production society? Create a Sports or Societies scholarship to support those who have the same interests you do.
• Reminiscing on your first experience of university living in Limes Court? Create an Accommodation scholarship, supporting those who will benefit the most from your donations.

Students will apply for these scholarships through a similar application process as the other alumni-funded scholarships. You will have an opportunity to be involved in the final selection process, if you wish.

Donate money at no cost to you

Would you like to donate money to our scholarship scheme, for free and at no expense to you?

We’ve partnered with Easy Fundraising, a platform that allows you to donate money to our scholarships fund at no cost to you.

All you have to do is create an account, choose us as your charity of choice, select a retailer, and complete your online shopping as normal. Once you’ve completed your shop at one of thousands of outlets, we’ll receive a small percentage of your total from the retailer. Your shopping won’t cost any more, and we never receive information about what you bought, or your card details.
