The Study Development team provide a range of services to support your academic development. You can get help in a 1-2-1 or small group tutorial or attend one of our Study for Success workshops. We also have a collection of self-help resources to help you improve your study skills.
Book a tutorial
You can access up to six individual tutorials per academic year.
In your tutorial, a Study Development tutor will help you with your academic work. You can work with us at any stage of your assignment, from receiving a brief to final proof reading.
We can help you:
- Improve your study strategies
- Reflect on your planning process
- Develop your academic writing skills

We offer Study for Success workshops throughout the year.

Visit our weekly drop-in
We run a regular drop-in during term time. You can find us in the Holgate pods between 11:00am and 12:00pm on Thursdays.
Meet with an academic liaison librarian
Each subject area has an academic liaison librarian. Your librarian can offer subject-specific tutorials on finding useful resources and referencing.
