Joining York St John
How to complete your enrolment
Complete these steps to enrol on your York St John University course.
When you have completed all the steps below, you will be able to:
- Use the library
- Use computing facilities
- Receive your university Student ID Card
- Have your student loan payments initiated (if applicable).
The final date for enrolment is 4 weeks after the start of your programme. After that date you will be considered to have withdrawn from your studies, and IT and Library access will be cut off.
Receive your enrolment email
Before you can do anything you need to receive your enrolment email from our Registry team. This email will contain your Student ID number and enrolment key.
If you have accepted your offer with us, you should now have received your enrolment email.
If you have been offered a place through Clearing, you will receive your enrolment email approximately 24 hours after accepting your offer.
If you have not received your email, please do no worry. Contact email@example.com and our friendly team will be able to help.
Create your IT account
You will need your enrolment key and a digital photograph. The photograph is for your Student ID card and should:
- Be in a similar style to a passport photo
- Be a recent colour photograph taken against a pale background
- Be of you alone (no other people or pets)
- Show you facing forwards with your head and shoulders filling 80% of the frame
- Show your full face and eyes clearly
- Be in JPEG format, at least 300px by 300px in size.
As part of this process you will be asked to confirm your personal details and provide information about how you will be funding your course.
Complete student registration
Every student must complete their online student registration. It is how we know you are ready to start your course. Registration will open a few days before the start date of your degree. You will be sent an email informing you when this is available to you.
You must complete the online registration stage in order to become fully enrolled at the university. It is vital that you register with the University as soon as possible because this creates the formal contract between you and the university.
You will need to log back into your student account in e:vision.
You will be asked to:
- Confirm your personal details and programme of study
- Upload a form of photographic ID.
If you are an international student you will also need to email good quality scans or photos of your immigration documents (passport, UK entry visa, and similar) to firstname.lastname@example.org before registration can be completed. Please contact the Visa & Compliance team with questions about this at email@example.com
