How to complete your enrolment

Complete these steps to enrol on your York St John University course.

When you have completed all the steps below, you will be able to:

  • Use the library
  • Use computing facilities
  • Receive your university Student ID Card (if you are eligible as a home student)
  • Have your student loan payments initiated (if applicable)

The final date for enrolment is 2 weeks after the start of your programme. After that date access to online enrolment will be denied and you will need to contact the Student Records team at studentrecords@yorksj.ac.uk.

Receive your enrolment email

Before you can do anything you need to get your enrolment email from our Registry team.

This email will contain your Student ID number and enrolment key.

If you have not got your email, please do not worry. Contact studentrecords@yorksj.ac.uk and our friendly team will be able to help.

Create your IT account

You will need your enrolment key and a digital photograph. The photograph is required for ID purposes and will be used for your Student ID card (if you are eligible for one). It should:

  • Be in a similar style to a passport photo
  • Be a recent colour photograph taken against a pale background
  • Be of you alone (no other people or pets)
  • Show you facing forwards with your head and shoulders filling 80% of the frame
  • Show your full face and eyes clearly
  • Be in JPEG format, at least 300px by 300px in size
