Michael Barkham, Lead Investigator for the PRaCTICED trial in Sheffield will be present to provide information on the progress of the trial.
Professor Michael Barkham is Director of the Centre for Psychological Services Research (CPSR) at the University of Sheffield and a clinical psychologist by training. His primary interests focus on the processes and outcomes of psychological therapies and he was a member of the Sheffield research team that carried out a series of MRC-funded psychotherapy trials investigating the efficacy of psychodynamic-interpersonal (also known as exploratory) therapy. He continues to be involved in trials that focus on new models of psychological therapies but also works with large practice-based data sets investigating patient outcomes and therapist effects within everyday NHS practice.
You should participate if you have attended a CfD course at York St John University.
