Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression Supervisor Training
Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE-CfD) is a manualised form of psychological therapy as recommended by NICE for the treatment of depression. It is made available within the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services to support patient choice and ensure there is a range of therapies to meet patients' needs.

What will I learn?
This course involves two days training.
The first day is distance learning, completed at a time to suit the student. You will be emailed reading and activity to complete prior to the second day.
The second day is delivered face-to-face on site at York St John University from 9:30pm to 4:30pm.
The PCE-CfD Supervisor training programme trains Supervisors to provide supervision to Counsellors offering depression-specific therapy.
The PCE-CfD CPD training provides CPD for counsellors who are already trained in person-centred or humanistic approaches and who have significant clinical experience.
Attendees must have successfully completed the PCE-CFD counsellor training course, including completion of the post training recording requirements.
And hold either:
Qualification to provide clinical supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists (e.g. certificate or diploma in supervision).
60 hours’ experience of providing clinical supervision to counsellors and/or psychotherapists in a healthcare setting.
Attendees must complete six supervision sessions with Counselling for Depression trained Counsellors and then submit two audio-recorded supervision sessions for assessment.
Following completion of the training and successful assessment of these tapes will result in successful pass and receipt of a Certificate.
