PhD Researcher: Community action, public imagination and the cost-of-living crisis

I am a PhD researcher supervised by Matthew Reason, Maria Fernandes-Jesus, and Victoria Hughes (JRF). My project focuses on community action in my adopted hometown of Scarborough and will start by exploring what makes community-led projects effective, inclusive and sustainable, and how citizen organising can open up spaces that allow us to imagine new ways of living together.

Before starting my PhD I worked for the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR), a UK think tank, on a wide range of issues including devolution, civil society, and community-led climate action.
