We are proud of our safe and secure campus where students and staff can enjoy living, learning and working in a community environment.
Our security service is provided by SPS Security Services, a dedicated 24 hour security team that are present on campus 365 days a year.
We also have a comprehensive CCTV network on all our sites, with cameras strategically positioned on the exterior of buildings.
A member of the Security team is present on University property at all times. Call them for help if you have an accident, incident or problem out of hours.
Our Security team use body worn cameras. These provide a range of benefits such as:
- Obtaining essential video footage for use in security reporting and evidencing. For example, real time recording of Health and Safety breaches.
- Increasing student and staff reassurance and quicker resolution of complaints.
- Reducing assaults on security team members.
- Helping with the training of security staff.
First aid
All our Security team are first aid trained and are the first point of contact for any immediate incidents.
A few members of staff are also first aid trained, so can help if more first aiders are needed. Call Reception on 01904 624 624 to find out more.
Noise disturbances
Contact our Security team using the details at the top of the page. Security will attend the disturbance as soon as possible, and report back to the relevant team.
