Book maintenance work and repairs
The Estates Helpdesk provides support to all university staff and students requiring help from the Maintenance and wider Estates teams.
The helpdesk is York St John University's in-house system for booking repairs ranging from roof damage to a dripping tap, and everything in between. It can also be used to report health and safety hazards and minor maintenance issues, report faults, and alert us to a problem we might have missed.
When jobs are raised with the helpdesk they are prioritised in order of urgency. Issues which cause the most risk are dealt with immediately. Routine tasks such as shelving and noticeboard installations, and other minor works are booked in to be dealt with as part of our day to day work plan. An accurate, detailed description of the problem you are reporting helps us to categorise work appropriately.
In an emergency situation where police, fire service or ambulance are needed, please contact Security (01904 876 444) in the first instance.

Staff: To log-in to the Estates Helpdesk, please use your York St John credentials. By logging this yourself, you will be able to sign into the helpdesk at any time and see any updates on the status of your request. If you have any difficulty accessing the helpline, please contact email@example.com.
Students: To log a request, please contact the Reception team via firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01904 876 666. The team will be able to log the job on your behalf and inform you of any updates.
