Study Abroad
The Study Abroad programme is an enriching opportunity for you to experience living in another country while studying abroad at one of our partner universities.
This popular programme allows you to spend a semester or a year abroad and earn academic credits that count towards your York St John University degree, at no extra tuition fee or time.

From summer schools to international volunteering and summer camps, there is a summer opportunity for everyone.
You could find yourself anywhere from Nepal to Saint Lucia, from Uganda to Fiji.

Summer schools
Take part in Chung-Ang University's Summer Programme, where you can take Korean language classes, discover Korean culture, and take part in cultural trips and experiences.

Volunteer in Fiji and experience the unique culture, customs, and way of life of the incredible South Pacific islands.
You can join a traditional village, become a member of a Fijian family and work as a team to contribute to youth empowerment, community development, sports development, or mental health projects.

Volunteer in Uganda to develop children's learning opportunities by building playgrounds.
Projects emphasise the importance of play and arts in children's development. Therefore you will help facilitate on these too.

Funding is available for travel abroad through the government's Turing Scheme and York St John Volunteering Fund.
