Many students have a part time job alongside their studies.
If you’re looking for a part time job, we can help you find one! We have links with businesses in York and advertise part time jobs all year round. You can find these jobs on our online Career's portal LaunchPad Online.
We also host job fairs and employer events where students can talk to employers and find out more about jobs before applying. Keep an eye out for all of our virtual events on LaunchPad Online.
Internships
We run student internships throughout term time, and summer internships during the summer which are fixed term opportunities.
They are part time paid positions which provide you with an opportunity to develop your employability skills, enhance your CV and get more out of your time at university.

Student Ambassadors
Our Ambassadors are the face of York St John. You will work with the Student Recruitment team to take weekly campus tours, support campus events such as open days, lead school visit groups and help with Clearing. There are also opportunities to work at off-campus events.
Students as researchers
Conduct paid research work alongside staff supervisors. You will be paid for the work you do and can gain communication skills too. It's a great way to work as part of a team and contribute to university research.
