This privacy notice sets out the ways in which York St John collects, uses, stores and shares your data.

All personal information gathered and held by York St John University is treated with the care and confidentiality required by the General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

By providing your consent as part of this survey, you will give the University permission to use your name, email address and survey responses to:

• Anonymously allocate information to the relevant school, subject and programme
• Contact respondents during the survey to encourage participation
• Contact respondents for the University’s marketing purposes
• Enable entry into a prize draw and to contact individuals who have been randomly selected for prizes

For the purpose of this privacy notice the processing is covered under UK GDPR Article 6 (1)(a) where processing is based on consent and the controller shall be able to demonstrate that the data subject has consented to processing of their personal data. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time and can do so by emailing the University at gov.compliance@yorksj.ac.uk.

Your data will be stored on our secure internal systems. Your personal data will only be accessible to authorised persons and your data will be anonymised to other members of staff. The data you provide as part of this survey will not be shared externally.
