York Business Clinic appoints new Director to drive innovation and impact

York St John University is delighted to announce the appointment of Sarah Czarnecki as the new Director of York Business Clinic. Sarah boasts a strong track record in strategy and business delivery and is the current President of York and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce.

She is also an alumna of York St John, with this appointment seeing her return to the University three decades after first studying here.

Operating from the Business School on the University’s Lord Mayor’s Walk campus in York, the Clinic provides free advice and innovative solutions to support local enterprise. It’s staffed by business students across multiple courses and disciplines, mentored and supervised by our knowledgeable and experienced academics. The new Director will oversee the strategic development and growth of the Business Clinic, cementing its position as a hub of experiential learning, innovation, and real-world problem-solving.

Sarah is committed to enhancing its reputation for excellence and its ability to provide valuable insights and solutions to our community partners.

She said “I am delighted to have been chosen to lead the Business Clinic at York St John University.  It is 30 years since I started my academic journey as a student on this very campus where I graduated with a First-Class Honours degree.  

“It is an honour to be able to couple my commercial experience within an academic environment in my alma mater and I am determined to ensure that the Business Clinic achieves all of the success it so richly deserves.”
