Cherie Blair CBE with York Business School and ISME

She was the guest of honour at a reception in London to celebrate the links between the Indian School of Management and Entrepreneurship (ISME) and higher education institutions in the UK.

Dean of the York Business School , Dr Bob Gammie was also a speaker at the event, hosted by  the former Sheriff of Mumbai Shikha Chugh. Dr Gammie was asked to speak on the importance of partnerships for providing higher education to all and supporting developing skills in India.

The York Business School currently works with ISME in Mumbai as a key UK partner, offering students places to come and study BA Hons Business Management, BA Hons Marketing Management and MBA programmes at York St John University. With a commitment to diversity and to widening access to education at the heart of the University’s ethos, York Business School offers scholarships each year to 4 students from Mumbai, for whom the opportunity would not otherwise be possible.

ISME hopes these partnerships will go a long way towards enhancing higher education and building strong links between the United Kingdom and India.
