York St John University takes part in York Mystery Plays

Staff Staff and students from Theatre and Literature in the Faculty of Arts once again took part in the world famous York Mystery Plays.
York St John’s wagon production of The Woman taken in Adultery and the Raising of Lazarus was performed in a series of locations around York city centre over the two previous Sundays (13 and 20 July).
Crowds gathered to enjoy the 20-minute performances at Dean’s Park, College Green, St Sampson’s Square and Museum Gardens.
The York Guilds Mystery Plays involves 12 plays, each performed by a different group linked to the city, and 600 volunteers. This is the third time that the Faculty has been invited to take part in the four-yearly festival.
